Dear Grandma LoLo,
When Michaela was born, I remember you sewing enough blankets, bib cloths and bibs to last and entire month. You named her lil ms 'bright-eyes'.
I remember when we discovered our love for cook books; the moment you shared that famous banana pudding receipe with me and the story behind.  That story I will cherish to be retold.
I remember when you TOLD me what I NEEDED to hear not what I wanted to hear.  And yes in that SOFT firm voice of yours  that one just cannot deny.  Thank you.
Today I believe you are smiling down on all your beloved family and friends. 
I believe you are proud of the celebration that was your life,  Overjoyed by the amount of love and energy that was so beautifully displayed.

I will miss that giddy lil laugh,  'okay'?



The big blue house at the top of the hill. The trips I took to go visit my grandma I’m going to miss them. Her craft has definitely been passed down. She was very “busy” and I love how she expressed her creativity in so many ways. Even in her last days she enjoyed creating. It’s amazing how similar we are to each other. She was inspiring to her family and everyone that knew her. She always had something to give. Either a gift or a soft pinch but all love! She was hilarious with her humor and charm. Always continuing to show off her latest quilts or home grown tomatoes will be remembered. I love you grandma may you and grandpa now be reunited together peacefully.

Auntie Lois and Uncle Bobby are among my most cherished childhood memories of summer vacations and paternal family bonding. I am most confident that they are together again. She will be missed not only for her kind heart, but for her spunk and ability to make those around her laugh. She was warm, kind, caring and put others before herself.  I’ll miss going over to the blue house and looking at her rose garden, watching her crochet or her telling me the “sandman” was going to get me when it was time for bed. We have so many lovely memories together that I’ll treasure forever. I love you Granny!

Ms. Shaffer, I will always remember your beautiful smile, your infectious laugh and all of crafts you made year after year. You were always so welcoming every time I would visit your home. 

You will truly be missed.

My deepest condolences. I remembered when I first met Mrs Shaffer she took me In as if I was one of her own. She loved to laugh and when ever I’ld call to say hello she would keep me on the phone forever. She will surely be missed.

As a father, I often wondered how you raised four boys while maintaining your sanity and sense of humor. I learned over the years, that your faith and strength were never far away in good and tough times. Your timely bits of wisdom always secured my confidence in raising my children and I am eternally grateful for your care and guidance. Your love and dedication to our family is the legacy you leave and is the foundation that your children have stood on and generations to follow will stand on.

I miss you so much. Spending Christmases with you was a great tradition that I will never forget. Your fun spirit will forever be missed. Love you so much.

Granny welcomed me into the family and treated me like own her daughter. She loved to share her favorite recipes with me and her latest craft projects. She always had a story to tell about her boys and her unwavering love for her husband is something I will always remember. We will miss you Granny and I find comfort knowing you are at peace and together again with your soulmate. 

Time has passed since we last seen each other, but you were always on my heart and mind. You were there during my formative years and played an important role as to who I am today.  You always kept me on track along with your boys and in fact you treated me as though I was your own. I have so many loving memories. I even remember when we went to Truevine and you made all the choir members colorful dashiki’s. You shall forever be in my memories. Thank you for investing in me. 

My heart and prayers to all the family. As Emmett’s sister in law, I had the pleasure of spending time with Mr and Mrs Shaffer during their trips to Atlanta. Their love for family was obvious and heartwarming. That family bond and legacy of love continues through the bonds of Troy (Marci) and Emmett (Kelly), and the next generation of Shaffer children and grandchildren. 
Troy and Emmett worked hard to provide their Mom with companionship, comfort, and peace - especially in the years of her declining health. May the fond memories bring you comfort and bless you all. 

My deepest condolences and prayers to the Shaffer family.  Mr. and Mrs. Shaffer were great supporters of their sons when they were students at Morse, both exemplary parents.   Mrs. Shaffer will be missed, but her legacy will live on.

My dear Lois, 
You will be terribly missed at katella senior living. It won't be the same without you here. Your magnetic energy radiated through this senior living. There was never a dull moment with you here. I loved running into you all the time to tell you to eat your veggies or to help me wash dishes or to help me bake the pastries, I remember you would always tell me you don't even wash dishes in your own danm house then you would proceed to tell me to get close to you so you can spank me.  Everytime I had a bad day I always counted on your smile and your teasing to make my day so much better. I love you my dear Lois, I will see you when I see you as you would say. You're in peace now. I'll never forget all the advice you gave me.  You will always have a special place in my heart

I have so many fond memories, so one quick one. Lois teased me often about going to the closet.  (Where my office is)  I miss her and my heart is with all her loved on!!!

Lois shared her bright spirit with us at Katella Senior Living. She was joyful and always making someone’s day with compliments or jokes. Many of us were fortunate to get some life and dating advice from Mrs. Lois :) She is loved and will be missed. 

When Troy would speak about his Mom, the level of love and appreciation that I heard in his words and in his voice could ONLY be attached and associated with a great Woman and a great Mom.

My Love and Support goes out to the entire Shaffer Family.

I'll always miss the road trips to Granny's house and the board games I'd always get for Christmas. Thank you for your big heart. It's comforting to know that you and Papa are together again. Rest in peace, Granny.

One of the most gracious ladies I've met.  Will always remember her smile.  Raised some of the most polite young men our neighborhood ever saw, glad to have known her.

Loved her dearly! She put her family first and made sure we were well fed.  Always gave great advice about life and showed an unwavering love for me.
Had a lot of great memories, but some of the best came over the last 3 years when I moved her closer to me in Orange County.  A pic of us at the George Benson concert. 😏

I always hung out at Troy's house and Mrs Shaffer was always caring and looking out for my best interest making sure I had a plan for the future and always very supportive.  She loved me as her own.  Love you and God Bless
