San Diego, CA – On Friday, January 5, 2024, Kay E. Jouno, of Mission Beach in San Diego, CA passed peacefully away while at a Hospital, where she had been for many weeks managing a serious lung condition.
Kay graduated from West High School in Green Bay, WI in 1958. Attended University of Oshkosh a few years before leaving for San Diego in 1961, where she resided, moving to Mission Beach in 1980 and remained since. She retired from AT&T Phone Co., and even after retirement worked with the Voting Rolls and Tallying for Election Board and the Cruise Lines for Boarding. She loved every minute of them both.
She was fun to be around with her great sense of humor and loved life at the Beach! She was fortunate to have many great friends! She loved her cats, of which she had many through the years. Most recent was CeCe, who died just a few days before Kay did.
Kay is survived by her Son, Mark (Jouno) Juneau, and his wife Paula and Grandson, Quentin; her Sister, Electa (Jouno) Selner, her husband Michael Selner; Nephew, Scott Baierl and wife Rizza, Grandniece Addison, and step-grandnephew and niece, Jacob and Jaden Miranda; Niece , Angelynn LaBine and her husband William; Grandniece, Shelby Roeser, her husband, Dustin, and her daughters Dylan and Amory; and Grandniece, Emmy Petersen. Kay’s Parents, Gordon (Jouno) Juneau and Ethel (Juneau) Breen both preceded her in death.
