  As hard as it is to believe, today marks one year since you passed away. The reality of your absence still feels fresh and I miss you more than words can explain. 
  This past year hasn’t been the same without you and whether it be to share some good news, or because I needed some advice, or even talk to you about something that I know only you would understand, there’s been countless moments I find myself wishing I could just pick up my phone and call you. 
  Today, as I remember you and honor your memory, I want you to know that our friendship is one that will always be held close to my heart. You will be forever missed.

JayDee, it’s been 6 months and 2 days since you were laid to rest. Not a day goes by without thoughts of you crossing my mind. The memories of our conversations, all of the laughs and cries we shared, even our moments of vulnerability, hold a special place in my heart. It feels both surreal and unfair that you're not here anymore. I miss having what we had. Since you left, life has carried on, as life often does. But our bond, the bond we forged through countless highs and lows, will always remain unbreakable. I find peace in knowing that the impact you made on my life, and the lives of others, will continue to ripple through time and space. It hasn't been easy and hard is far more than a understatement. Grieving your loss has been a plethora of emotions, a rollercoaster ride of tears and healing, to say the least. Theres been days when the grief is overwhelming but I’m able to take comfort knowing that you’re watching over your loved ones here and back with your mom and grandfather up there. Within time, I've tried to come to accept that your spirit lives on. I will forever cherish our memories.  Even though you're no longer physically here with us, your presence is ever-present in the life lessons you taught me about seeing things for what they are, and staying true to myself. I’m happy to have been blessed enough to have had a friend in you. So, I want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for being my confidante, my forever friend, and my diary. Thank you for enriching my life in ways words can't fully capture. You may be gone, but you will be endlessly appreciated, loved, and missed. Your spirit lives on, and your memory will forever hold its place in my heart. With love and remembrance, Tee.
