I met Mrs. Taylor when I was 9 years old and we moved in next door.  I adored her from our very first meeting.  Jean was my Bonus Mom right from the start but especially during my teen years.  She was always up to talk about boys, clothes, make up etc.  All things my own mom didn't really get into.  The 3 oldest kids were all in my wedding in 1972.  Lee Ann wasn't born yet but was there with us.  She became "Jean" to me in my 20's because "we were all adults now".  My parents had rules about addressing grown ups.  I lived with the Taylor's from late 2018 until mid 2020 and got to spend a lot of quality time with Jean and I am so grateful that I had that opportunity.   I will miss her every day for the rest of my life and cherish my lifetime of memories with her.  I love you Jeannie Mine.  I know you are in Heaven singing with the angels as only you can!!

November of 2019 brought Aunt Jean & Uncle Dick to Oklahoma once again to visit with family and enjoy the Bison community Thanksgiving dinner. Uncle Bob, my Mom (Aunt Ann), the kids and I all had the pleasure of joining them. We will treasure these memories with Aunt Jean as her contagious smile, warm hugs, and engaging personality made her the aunt that you always wanted to be around. We love Aunt Jean and our Taylor family, and our condolences for her passing.

I was lucky enough with my nephew Andrew and Diana Shenkel, Madison, Jade  to spend a couple of Christmases and other holidays with Dick and Jean and the whole Taylor clan and many of their family friends and neighbors. It was so much fun and Jean was a beautiful wonderful, funny, very caring and happy person. I will miss her greatly.

Jean was a friend to all of us in the neighborhood, willing to help in any way that she could. She organized people to make food to bring to families in the neighborhood, including for our family on the day of a memorial in 2010. We are grateful for her kindness over all of these years. Jean had a way of making people feel welcomed. It was a pleasure to be with her and we do miss her. Rest in peace, Jean.

I don't have any pics with Jean, but I want all to know that Jean has become like a second mom to me. Yes, I am one who benefitted greatly from staying with Dick and Jean at "Casa Taylor" for a year. Jean was always warm and welcoming to me and she is missed, but is lovingly held in my heart. ❤️ 

There was nobody like Jean Taylor…What a beautiful soul. She was the epitome of the perfect Mother and I was honored to call her friend. I know she’s celebrating  on the other side with so many souls to welcome her home! Thank you for your kindness and great capacity to love. Soar with the angels and rest well in Paradise. It was fall 1983. High school volleyball for girls was in full swin at MHS. I met Jean Taylor, mother to Cat, B and LeeT. Chris, too. Through the next 40 years , this enegetic mom, vollunteer- the PTA machine-, bowler, bridge player( I failed) was an important mentor, peer, cohort in my life.  Teaching, always. Listening, assuredly.. No early calls. But after meeting, late night food!  Encouraging, you bet. " Go on , Beck, nobody cares if you dance in the isle. No one will see."  Only 5,000 delegates at a Statewide Convention!  Ah, Jean, the memories. RIP, my friend, my mentor, my cohort in fun!

Jean was such a lovely lady.  Sweet friendly and oh so kind. I remember at Christmas time after we finished our exercises Dick asked us what we would like to say and we all chimed in with Christmas wishes. I can still see Jeans sweet face thanking everyone for their kindness.
I will miss my neighbor but most of all my friend who exemplified kindness to all.
Rest in peace Jean and soar high with the angels. Until we meet again. God bless.
