He moved to San Diego, CA when he was 7 years of age in 1948 along with his siblings. Jaime had 4 brothers ( Francisco, Henry, Raymond & Eduardo) & 3 sisters ( Elsa, Raquel & Sylvia). Jaime graduated from San Diego High School in 1960. He then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force on October 25, 1960. He became a First Sergeant & served until October 24, 1968.
He enjoyed traveling many countries and cities, most of all he enjoyed the partying! Then after, Jaime took a trip back to Torreon and met up with his cousin Antonio Perez to go to a club to go see Lola Beltran where he said, “It was love at first sight” when he had asked his future wife Aurora to dance. From that night, one month later he picked up Aurora in his blue Volkswagen Beetle & brought her to San Diego where they married in February 1969 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.
Jaime began his lifelong job with Pacific Bell in 1970 where he was a Lineman/Supervisor, in which he was able to purchase his 1st & only home in 1972 on Swift Ave. Three children then came along Steve, Nancy & Alice. Following, he retired from Pacific Bell in 1996. He would then welcome to his family 2 son-in-laws, Carlos Rosales and Jose Alvarez. Following soon after came his 6 grandchildren, Faith, Angelique, Darryl, Dominik, Alinah & Natalie.
After retirement Jaime spent a lot of his time at the gym in the jacuzzi and sauna! Jaime would also spend time with his family & friends. He also was entertained by watching his NFL football & boxing. But most of all he enjoyed being with his wife, children & grandchildren.
May God Rest His Soul.
