Enza Russo

by her loving family on Monday, November 14, 2022. Enza was

born on April 18, 1930 in Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily to parents

Rosario Ingargiola and Rosaria Iannazzo. She was preceded

in death by her parents, her brothers Francesco, Vincenzo,

Marco Ingargiola, and sister Maria Vaiasuso.

On November 22, 1952 she married her love, Gino Russo. In

1961 at the age of 30, they had the opportunity of a lifetime to

move to the United States to make a better life for their family.

They arrived in San Diego with their first two young children,

Frank and Enza. Their family was complete with the addition of

two more children, Mark and Tony.

Enza was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great

grandmother. She loved cooking, baking delicious Italian cookies

& cannolis, and knitting booties & blankets for family and friends.

She is survived by her brother Vito Ingargiola and sisters Vita

Scarpitta and Pina Marino. She leaves behind her four children,

Frank (Rina) Russo, Enza (Terry) Charles, Mark (Karen)

Russo, Tony (Theresa) Russo, 11 grandchildren Gino

(Kristina), Francesco (Krissy), Patrizia (Perry), Enza (Ronnie),

Paul (Jamie), Michael (Jessica), Regina (Kurtis), Michelle

(Michael), Marco, Victoria, Anthony, and 15 great

grandchildren with one more on the way.

She will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew her.

A funeral service for Enza will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:57 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102, San Diego, CA 92102.
