Steven Hernandez

Steven Joseph Hernandez ,age 32 years passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 @ Redlands Community Hospital in Redlands, CA after a year long illness. His mother, Regina was at his side. Steven was born on May 7, 1989, at St. Bernardine's Hospital in San Bernardino, CA to Mother, Regina Romero and Father, Steve Hernandez. He was a lifetime resident of San Bernardino/Highland, CA where he attended school in the San Bernardino City Unified School District. He played Soccer and Baseball for Highland and Central Little League. Steven was employed as a food packager for Home Chef in San Bernardino. He was a Catholic. Steven was a loving and caring father to his 2 sons Steven Jr. (Perico) and Ayden and to his daughter, Jenna Rose. One of the highlights of his life was when he was a Baseball Coach where all 3 of his children were on the same team. He spent a lot of time teaching them the art of Baseball @Central Little League. Their team was the Central Little League Cubs. Steven was a very caring and likable person who knew so many people and embraced all with whom paths he crossed. He was loyal and one whom at the end of the day, he would always have your back. He loved reading James Patterson Novels and one of his specialties was making lemon pepper chicken. Steven was quite the character that had a way of getting himself into the most unbelievable predicaments, where the outcome always worked in his favor. He could make a sad situation turn happy and an ordinary situation in something super extraordinary. He was very special and possessed a certain charm and personality unlike no other. His presence will always and forever be missed. Steven was a Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend (aka "Feen"). Steven is survived by his 3 Children Steven Jr. Hernandez, Jenna Rose Hernandez, Ayden J. Cortez, Mother, Regina, Brothers, Douglas and Nicholas Smith, Sisters, Carissa Ventura and Adreana and Breana Smith. His 2 Nephews, Nicholas “Bo” Smith and Carter Douglas Smith and his Niece, Amylah Stefani Dior Reyes. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Amelia Pedroza Romero, and his Uncle Ismael “Bodie” Romero. Also survived by his father, Steve Hernandez and extended Family, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Catherine, and Breanna Hernandez.

Visitation for Steven will be on Monday, August 23 from 5pm-8pm @ Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery Memorial Chapel, 570 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92411. Graveside services to be held on Tuesday, August 24,2021 at 11:15 am, also at Mt. View Cemetery.
