Patricia Ann Favero

Born August 8, 1934 in Galena, MO to Thomas and Bessie Davis (Fife). She passed away on January 8, 2016 in Chico, CA at the age of 81. She graduated from San Bernardino S.H.S. 1952. Married to Valentine (Val) Favero for 35 years and resided in Mojove, CA from 1974-2012. Shortly after Val passed away, she moved to Corning, CA to be closer to family. She is survived by, 1 sister, 1 Great Aunt, 5 Nieces, 4 Nephews, 13 grand nieces, 5 grand nephews, 3 great nieces, and 6 great grand nephews.

Patricia was a very loving and caring person. She always put her family first regardless of the needs. For years she would make long and exhausting trips to San Bernardino to care for her mother. While at the same time she was also caring for her husband who for 15 years required regular trips (2-3 times a week) to Lancaster for kidney dialysis. Not a birthday went by without a card or a phone call from her. And she made it known, her home was always open.

She loved to travel with her husband to visit family and friends. And they would sometimes make a sudden "unplanned" trip to Las Vegas just to have fun, play her hand at her favorite game of Keno. Along with visiting with her sister.

She had a great love for wild animals and loved to see them stop by for a daily visit. She had a lot of stories to share about them as well. Whenever you came to visit, you would always see the long garden hose that would be stretched out for days. It was to keep the water bowl full for all the animals. And there was always large bags of bird seed just waiting to be fed.

If you were lucky, you might to get witness all the animals first hand. Cats, birds, rabbits, the occasional fox and even a mountain lion from time to time.

Patricia loved to make new friends. She spent a few years helping out at the local bingo hall. She was even a caller for a while. She was a creature of habit! You could set your clock by her. One of her regular hang outs included stopping at Hometown Buffet in Lancaster, on the way home from Val's dialysis.

Her favorite things to do included, playing electronic poker, watching jeopardy, keeping up with the stock market, politics (and she had a lot to say about that!) playing her organ, writing poems, and making her famous "See's" fudge. She wrote articles for a few newspapers, and was on the radio for a while. (Little Patty was her name)

She was extremely sharp with numbers (faster than a calculator!) had a great sense of humor, (always ready with a quick come back) she loved the color lavender, and had a collection of owls of all kinds.

Not a day went by that her hair wasn't perfect, her Red lipstick on, and she always had the sweet scent of her favorite perfume on "Wind Song".

Patricia was dearly loved by all who met her.

She will be missed greatly and will forever be in our hearts.
