It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene Ramona Ruiz Vaca on September 16, 2024 at the age of 72. A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Tia and cherished friend, she was the foundation of our family and a caretaker whose love and loyalty knew no bounds.
Born on September 26, 1951 in San Bernardino, California, to Ramona Veloz Ruiz Diaz and Andrew Ortiz Ruiz.
Irene also known as Rini and Moose, dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. As a compassionate caretaker, she touched countless lives, offering her strength and love to those who needed it most. Her unwavering commitment to others was matched by her joy in the kitchen, where she loved to cook and bake, creating meals that brought family and friends together.
As a caretaker, she nurtured not only her children and grandchildren but also lovingly supported her brothers and sisters, standing by their side through every challenge and triumph. Her unwavering commitment to family was her greatest strength, and she fiercely protected those she held dear.
At the same time, she never put up with any nonsense from anyone. She stood firm in her beliefs and spoke her mind with courage and conviction, always standing up for what was right.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Francisco Vaca Toro, her grandson Eduardo Vaca Jr., her son Jose Luis Ruiz Vaca, her brothers Ramon Ruiz, Fermin Ruiz, Frank Ruiz and Chavela Romero.
Irene is survived by her children, Juan, Javier, Eduardo, Anna and Sylvia. Her grandchildren Laura, Julia, Katie, Jonathan Jose Anaya, Brianna Anaya, Allyssa Vaca, Alexis Gloria, Lexie Vaca Rodriguez, Vanessa Vaca, Armani Silberzahn, Anaveah Vaca, Solie Vaca, Lilly Vaca, Christian Vaca, Briseis Vaca, and Jazlynn Vaca. Her great-grandchildren, Rosie Diaz, Ezekiel Tapia, and Cameron Levea. Her Brothers Andrew Ruiz Jr., Joe Ruiz, David Ruiz, Victor Ruiz, and Sisters Lena Beas, and Juanita Esquivel.
All who will forever be grateful for the lessons of love, kindness, and perseverance she taught them. Though she may be gone from this world, the legacy of her love will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and strength, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rest easy Mom. Your love will continue to guide us, and your memory will forever be a blessing.
