It is impossible to capture anyone's lifetime in just a few words, but the following should give you an idea of who Juan was.
From an early age and throughout his life, Juan earnestly pursued various interests. He was never too timid or too shy to take on any challenge that came his way. Throughout his lifetime, he dabbed in diverse pursuits; from learning to ride a tricycle to riding motorcycles. Later on, he experimented with growing vegetables, and welding and even learned how to weld. For a time, he was an entrepreneur and had his own power-washing business in San Antonio. He was particularly proud of his endeavor into acting, which peaked as him being an extra on a 90s TV series, Heaven Can Wait.
After learning as much as he could about life, he decided to pursue a career as a chef and learn about fine cuisine. His previous experiences working in various Austin restaurants triggered a desire to remain in that field. He attended Le Cordon Bleu College and obtained his degree in Culinary Arts. His first offer of employment was from Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in San Antonio and started him on the road to his new challenges. To satisfy his curiosity into Creole Cuisine, he moved to Louisiana and worked at notable restaurants such as Commander's Palace and Jacque-Imo's. Along the way, he got to meet and prepare meals for various celebrities from the music and movie industry. In his later years, he decided to move to the west to enjoy the natural beauty of the national parks. He worked at various locations in Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming. He loved these locations because it allowed him to enjoy nature and hiking in the many national parks in those regions. He would later relate to his father and second mom, in conversations about life and its purpose, that it was in these locations that he learned to appreciate and admire God's handiwork, helping him reconnect to his spirituality and his faith.
Always with a twinkle in his eye and a mischievous smile, he truly enjoyed life and all its wonders.
Juan is survived by his former spouse, Sandra Freidberg; his sons Juan Morales IV; and Esteban Morales; his father Juan Moales JR.; his mother Blanca E. Atkinson and his second mom Lucy Reza Morales; and his sisters Christina Morales and Lydia Friese.
Juan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Maria and Juan Morales Sr., and his maternal grandparents Magdalena and George Atkinson.
