Yolanda Uribe Escalera

Yolanda U. Escalera was born in San Antonio, TX on November 29, 1951 and went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2018, at the age of 66. She is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Uribe Sr., mother Emma Uribe, husband Richard R. Escalera Sr. and oldest grandchild Robert Anthony. Yolanda was survived by her son Richard U. Escalera, daughter Kimberly Escalera; 12 grandchildren, Jasmine Alonzo, Alessandra Escalera, Jade Alonzo, Arielle Escalera, Labiana Valdez, Richard Escalera III, Angelina Escalera, Ryan Escalera, Kimberlina Rodriguez, Angelynn Rodriguez, Alyson G. Escalera and Scarlett Alonzo- Escalera. She was also survived by her brothers, Benjamin Uribe Jr. and Manuel Carillo, sisters Diana Uribe and Sylvia Uribe; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who devoted her time to her family and supported them with whatever help she could give. Yolanda loved to listen to music, especially Tejano and her oldies; cook and bake and enjoying life to the fullest. She graduated from Jefferson High School and worked at NISD for over 20+ years, having the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished in our hearts. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78237. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11:15 am on Monday, July 23, 2018 for a 12:00 pm mass of resurrection at Resurrection Of The Lord Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
