Wanda Ahlstrom went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2017. She was born in Dawson, Texas on August 16, 1937 to Russell and Ide Mae Farmer. Wanda was a longtime member of Crestview Baptist Church. Prior to her illness, Wanda enjoyed visiting nursing home residents with her service Chihuahua, Chico. She was a beloved wife and mother who will be dearly missed.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her life companion, John W.Ahlstrom; and her brother, Newell Farmer. She is survived by her sons, Johnathan and his wife, Doris Tunnell, and Tracey Tunnell; her sister, Opal Ruth Bradley; her step-grandchildren, Josh, Tara, and Adam; her beloved dog, Chico, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30th from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 1st at 12:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
