Ms. Rodriguez, I really didn't get to meet your mother personally, but I felt as if I did with all the stories you would tell me about her.  My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow.  Love you, Silvia Dominguez

I remember once I was babysitting grandma and she would ask me if I was working, and I would reply No. She would put her hand to her mouth & giggle... she got a real kick out of that. Another time I was fixing the floor in Grandma's kitchen, she told Diana Pay him off so he can leave not realizing that it was me her grandson... I know one day when the lord is ready I will see you again Grandma, until then I'll keep your memory in my heart.

I have wonderful memories of my grandma, through the years of travel to San Antonio she was the center of my visits, as she and I got older, it got harder to say good-bye, so when it came time to leave, grandma would stand at the porch and wave and smile and that is one of many moments in life that I will treasure, so when I close my eyes I think of her I can see her waving with that beautiful smile. This is Jean Hortick Ortiz and as a child, when visiting Aunt Virginia and Tito's, I always had a good time with my cousins and have never forgotten the good times and attentive nature at meal times. Those that I ate many of. Our prayers to the whole family.

Ama, when you left this world I was there to see you go and that was the hardest thing to see. Now all my days are filled with tears, I'm very sad and there's this emptiness within me, but knowing that your in heaven eases my pain some. Running into memories of you brings back happiness to me, I remember when we went to ( shoppers world )and you bought two 45`s for me and from than on I started my music collection. I also recall when I used to mow the lawn, I could hear a banging I looked up and there you were at the window with a warm smile and waving by to me and I would wave back feeling good and happy. Mother thank you for all you did for me you were always there for me, even after I got married. God gave me a treasure, not of gold, jewels or diamonds but the best mother in the world. The last days of your life I remember like it was yesterday, your small beautiful face I held your hand and you held mine tighter not wanting to let go. When I held your tiny body close to me we both looked into each others eyes and I told you over and over how much I loved you so. At nights when we were alone with only the light of the TV on, I would call out loud (jefa) and you would turn and wave bye to me thru the rails of your bed and I would wave back, letting you know you weren't alone. I won't say goodbye a second time, for I know one day we'll be together again. With all my love your daughter,

It's hard to sum up what someone means to you in a few sentences, especially someone you loved like a mother.  I will never forget all the memories I had with her, her cooking, her never ending walking, her giggles, her coffee, her love of sweet bread, her stories and her voice.  I enjoyed all the time I spent with her, which was a lot. I grew up with her, and continued for the second half of my life seeing her every week. I know most people don't have that opportunity, but I was blessed to have had that bond with her.

Things that I remember about Mrs. Rodriguez, I wish I could go back 40 years, when I met her, she was a beautiful lady, very well respected. When I think of her I remember her wearing a beautiful beige or off white dress with black prints, her long beautiful black hair. Two years ago I spent Easter Sunday with the family , to me she was still the same beautiful lady just older but still very active Gloria asked her if she remembered me, she said "who is she, she's so pretty" that made me smile for no one had said that to me in many years.She will be greatly missed. I have some wonderful memories of my great-grandmother, Kiki, but there are just too many that I can't even say which ones are my favorites. I could talk about the time my siblings and I were “grandma”-sitting and she thought the entire time she was baby-sitting us and trying to feed us the entire night. Or I could talk about the time within the past couple of months where she snatched a piece of sweetbread out of my hands because she wanted it. It was hilarious! But these memories are just a fraction of what I do have. She was a feisty, silly, lovable, and incredible great-grandmother. Her family was her life and her home was my second home (besides Disney World). I am very grateful to have had her for almost 20 years of my life, I hope I have made her proud, and I know she'll be watching me from above, continuing to watch me grow as a woman and as a great-granddaughter. I loved my great-grandmother Kiki very much, and she is another beautiful angel added into the Kingdom of Heaven.

I would remember (kiki) drinking her coffee at the table, always asking me if I wanted a cup of coffee and breakfast, I would often ask her if she wanted to dance, she always smiled I will miss her.

Mother Dear, How I long to hear your voice once again. To hear those footsteps coming towards me, catch that smile you always gave me.To feel your touch over my hand.God how I need all these once again, but though I know it cannot be, so I will forever have you in my heart, my dreams, and my thoughts.Love Your Daughter,Ester

My faviorite memory of my grandma was when she took me in her room and closed the door, took out her photo album and we went through the whole album. She told me stories and shared with me some memories of her own!  This will be forever in my heart!!  Love you Grandma!!

I have many beauiful memories of my grandmother,growing up our Christmas were so nice getting in line to get our gifts from my grandparents stocking fill of fruit, nuts and candies,and all the excitement. Going to parks with all of the familys, best time ever. I have learn from my grandmother how to value your family, which I have use to bring up my son's
I have been bless to have a grandmother like her, she will be miss and in my heart forever!

There are many wonderful memories I have of my Mother and I through out my lifetime...But the most recent memory I have was a few days before my Mom Passed away...As I had done so many times before I went to check on her and at that moment she had a big smile on her face, I held her hand and she held mine tightly as to not let go...and at that moment nothing had to be said, no words needed to be spoken. The love between us ran through our blood and because of that she will always be with me to keep me from those that want to hurt me. So with a lifetime of beautiful memories and a heart full of love...I do not say goodbye, because Mom you will always be in my heart!

My loving Grandmother... saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I've had to do,  after 99 years I knew the day would come but nothing could have ever prepared me for the day you passed away...knowing that God has taken you into his Kingdom brings me some comfort as I know you are now with Grandpa and that all your pain & suffering is gone... I love you and miss you so much already... Grammy I will always cherish the memories we made throughout the years,  and hold them close to my heart.

I think I was nine and we where living in L.A. at the time. It was days before Christmas and a package arrived.  I remember being so excited to see what gifts where inside for us that I remember that day all these years later. Why? Because the package wasn't just from anyone, it was from my Grandma. My memories are filled with her essence, her spirit and her smile. She will always be in my heart.
