Velia Romo Tamez

Velia R. Tamez was called home to be with the Lord, on November 5, 2014 at the age of 92. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Arturo G. Tamez and son Hector (Josie) Tamez. She loved to garden and paint portraits for her loving family; she will be greatly missed by all her family. Velia is survived by her loving children; Arturo Tamez Jr., Humberto Tamez, Efrain Tamez(Sandra), Mary Alice T. Swift (Michael), Grace Reyna, Grandchildren: Sandra ,Humberto Jr., Phillip, Greg, Barbara, Eugene, Luis, Bobby, Dana, Matthew, Christopher, Valerie, Kathryn, Lauren, Elizabeth, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, brothers Jesse Romo and Jose Romo. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, November 9, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Timothy Catholic Church with Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
