Uvaldo Elizondo Villarreal, also known as “Uncle Lalo,” went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2015 at the age of 86. He served in the United States Army and worked for Kelly Air Force Base as a General Equipment Examiner for 36 years. He was a Devoted Catholic and member of the St. John Berchmans’ Catholic Church. A loving, compassionate, and thoughtful man will be truly missed by all those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents: Simon and Julia Villarreal, and 5 siblings. He is survived by 1 brother: Jesus E. Villarreal, 2 nieces: Irma (Rick) Sweet, Sandra (Greg) Dominick, and 1 nephew: Jesse (Leslie) Villarreal; 3 great-nieces: Sara, Mariah, and Kadie, and 3 great-nephews: Miguel, Ricky, Jack, and numerous relatives and friends.
A visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, beginning at 5:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. A funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11:30 AM for a 12:00PM Mass to be celebrated at St. John Berchmans’ Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
