Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, adored 'grandpa' and loyal friend. He enjoyed spending time at the lake house with his family and friends. His hobbies included stained glass and wood working.
After a wonderful June family reunion in Gatlinburg, he was preceded in death by his good friend and brother-in-law, Richard Bellisario, this past September.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary B. McMullen; daughter, Mary Lisa Taskiran and husband, Huseyin; son, Thomas F. McMullen and wife, Jacqueline; grandchildren, Jay Grant McMullen, Thomas Mitchell McMullen, Andrew Luke McMullen, Jacob Cenker Taskiran and Mary Rengin Taskiran; brother, William P. McMullen and wife, Cheryl; sister, Cathy Ann (Sis) Bellisario; brother, Michael McMullen and wife, MaryAnne; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom attended South Hills Catholic High School in Pittsburgh Pa, went on to graduate from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He earned an MBA from St. Mary's University in San Antonio Texas. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service. Tom and several colleagues established Sunset Resources, After much success, the business was sold to CACI and Tom became a full time Grandpa.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
