Theodoro R Valdez

Theodoro “Ted” Valdez, 93, of San Antonio, Texas died at 11:45 PM, November 8, 2021. He was born May 27, 1928 in Beeville, Texas to Salvadore and Angela Valdez. He was proceeded in death by his wife Rose Marie Valdez of 62 yrs., son, Michael Valdez, and granddaughter, Monica Roberts.

He is survived by his children: "Ted” Valdez II (Dee-Dee), Debora Myers (Bernie), and Yvette Allan. Seven grandchildren: Ted Valdez III (Melicia), Heather Valdez, Michelle Savage, Trevor Allan, Seth Allan (Melissa) and Noah Dlugoszewski (Lorrie). Twelve great grandchildren: Megan Roberts (Jacoby), Monique Roberts (Iliana), Mikolai Roberts, Mia Valdez, Mason Valdez, Alfredo Munoz, Madison Munoz, Corie Fernandez, Codie Fernandez, and Joey Karb. Four great-great grandchild: Zemira Garza, Jacoby Garza, Jr, Ezra Gutierrez and Justin Dominquez.

Ted loved the Lord and was devoted to his family especially his grandchildren. He was an avid tennis player, fisherman, and especially enjoyed playing his harmonica, You are my Sunshine & Las Manaitas were his favorites for any and all celebrations, where ever he went. He served in the US Navy on the USS Valley Forge CV-45. He worked for the San Antonio Light and retired from The Express News.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

He will be cremated and some ashes will be kept at his home with family as a reminder of him.

Ted will be greatly missed. We know he is in heaven with his wife and those who went before him thru his faith in Jesus Christ and that all his loved ones will join him one day.
