After graduating Thomas Jefferson High School, Steve proudly served his country as a Marine. Shortly after his service he enjoyed a long career as a long-distance truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Josephine Zigler Ramirez, and bonus mother and Sandra’s life partner, Claudine Chaves. Steve is survived by his mother, Sandra P. Hicks, numerous cousins, family, and friends dating back to grade school.
A graveside service, with US Marine Corps Honors, will take place on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
