Steven Paul Haase

Steve was born in Texas and graduated from Garford High School. He served in the United States Army and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Gae Le Haase. They were together for over 30 years. Steve enjoyed watching football and his favorite team was the Denver Broncos.

He was an avid WWE (World Wide Entertainment Wrestling) fan and enjoyed reading Louis L'Amour books.

Steve has three biological children and three step-children. He is survived by his step-children, Jessica Anne Greenway (Erik), Dr. Patricia Vernetta Oliver (Sean) and Dr. Billy Walker Newton (Helinda).

Steve has 13 grandchildren: Samantha Paige Greenway, Kaitlyn Marie Greenway, Kara Ashley Oliver, Erik Michael Greenway, William Shane Grimes, Lauren Kate Oliver, Meaghan Elizabeth Greenway, Sebastian Wayne Grimes, Nicholas James Greenway, Killian Frederick Newton, Benjamin Carl Greenway, Daniel Emory Hannon and Abigail Antonia Newton.

He was known as Oppi by his grandchildren.

Steve will be laid to rest next to his loving wife at Holy Cross Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
