Simon Alejandro Martinez born on October 8, 1941 in Coahuila, Mexico went to be with our Lord on May 5, 2011 at the age of 69. He loved to play pool and as a result won many pool tournaments. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria C. Martinez; sons and daughters, Ervey Martinez (Gilda), Hilda Rodriguez (Roberto), Oscar Martinez (Cindy), and Hector Martinez; grandchildren, Jennifer Martinez, Savanna Martinez, Cristela Escobedo, Matthew Martinez, Hector “Chief” Martinez, Jr., Alejandro Inez Martinez, Ceasar Simon Martinez, Jacob Anthony Castillo,; and Sophia Martinez; sisters, Margarita Sanchez, Manuela Olvera, Rosa Marquez, and Sylvia Miranda; brothers, Luis Martinez, Rito Martinez, and Ricardo Martinez; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service that same evening. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chapel Mill Memorial Park.
