San Juana "Jane" Espinosa was called to the Lord's Kingdom on December 23rd, 2018 bringing with her the light of adoration from the generations and family she created, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jane was a native of San Antonio. Graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1965. She was married to the love of her life the late Fernando Espinosa Sr. November 27, 1965. Together they raised five children. They shared 44 years of their lives together until his death on November 15, 2009. Over a course of 30 years, Jane was a nurse at Baptist hospital working in the newborn nursery, neonatal intensive care unit, and couplet care. Retired, then returned to her passion of nursing and caring and began working in Home Health Care. She was also acknowledged and listed in Who's who of America society for academic achievement when she received her nursing license for having an exceptional score and making the top 10 in the Nation. Most importantly Jane was a breast cancer survivor. Jane enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Coushatta Casino, Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino and playing Bingo! She is preceded in death by her parents Magdaleno Reyes Miranda & Francisca (Gomez) Miranda; husband Fernando Espinosa Sr., brother Alfredo Miranda, Jr and granddaughter Cynthia Michelle Reyes; and other relatives who she cared for and loved deeply. She is survived by his loving daughters Lupita Guzman (Steve), Monica Garcia (Tony), Yvonne Roman (Hector), Melissa Castillo; and son Fernando Espinosa, Jr.; 1st grandson Jimmy Espinosa; 22 grandchildren; first great-grandchild Damian Espinosa; 31 great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, and brother-in-law Thomas Espinosa, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will begin Thursday, January 10, 2019, 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Friday, January 11, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church 1204 Castroville Rd San Antonio, TX. 78207 with interment to follow in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
