Samuel E Brown, age 82, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 9th, 2021, after a difficult battle with cancer. He was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, on September 29, 1939, to the late Eddie and Lola (Walker) Brown. After completing high school, Sam pursued a degree in Engineering and relocated to San Antonio, Texas where he was employed by Lancer Corporation as Vice President of Manufacturing for over 35 years until Lancer was sold. He then went on to work for Jud Schroeder at Schroeder America for 10 years until his retirement. Sam was passionate about the engineering industry and loved his occupation.
His favorite pastimes were his love of fishing in the San Antonio Bay and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Janetta Brown Barkdull (daughter).
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Susan: Brother, Ronnie (Janie): Daughters: Loretta Robinson (Scott), Judy Koenig (Ulrich), Sheila Walstad (Dan), Margie Yarrow (Patrick): Son: Doug Brown (Harmony): nieces and nephews: numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Private Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Assoc. or St Jude’s Cancer Center.
