Rosale Emma Scott, 89, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in Sattler, Texas. She had endured a courageous struggle to live out her final years at home while confronting a myriad of serious health challenges. She was a resident of Sattler, Texas at the time of her death. Rosale was born on October 15, 1934 in the small town of Floresville in Wilson County, Texas, to Fridolin (Fred ) and Pearl Alma Stella Voigt.
Rosale married Hugh Ollie Scott on August 18, 1956 at Randolph Air Force Base Chapel No.2. They lovingly shared over 56 years together until his death in early 2013.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh, parents, Fridolin and Pearl. Rosale is also survived by her son David Hugh Scott of San Antonio, Texas; her daughter Diane Pearl (Gilbert) Corona of San Antonio, Texas; her daughter Lauren Rebecca Engbrock of Spring Branch, Texas; her granddaughters Amy Christine, Rosa Lenore and Ashley Brooke; one great-granddaughter Karis Danielle; as well as two great-grandsons Evan and Ethan. Survivors also include Rosale's younger sister, Ivarene Louise Hosek of Floresville, Texas; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives.
Rosale was never known to shy away from hard work. As a young girl she worked alongside her parents on their ranch in the small community of McCoy, Texas. She became quite accomplished in her life. After obtaining stenographer training, she became a valued employee of Alamo Bank in San Antonio, Texas. Rosale was then employed three decades, until her retirement, as a civil servant for the federal government; winning numerous commendations and awards at both Randolph Air Force Base and Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi.
Rosale was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed flowers, the culinary arts, camping, nature, political discussion, travel, historical movies, the ocean, playing dominoes, and the company of good friends. She excelled at cooking delicious meals, spelling, proofreading documents, planning RV trips, financial responsibility, writing letters, and engaging conversation. Rosale was an avid reader throughout her life. She adored all kinds of animals; spoiling her family pets, throughout the years, with treats and table food. She was simply beautiful, gracious, kind, and so very generous by nature.
