Ronald Edward Reinsfelder

Ronald “Ron” E. Reinsfelder, age 71 of San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2019. He was born on May 11, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. Ron was a loving husband, father and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Wenona Reinsfelder and tragically, his daughter, Katie Reinsfelder. He is survived by his wife and son, Susie and Jeff Reinsfelder.

Ron had a long and productive career with Shell Oil starting in 1977 and retiring in 2013. He loved meeting new people, seeing and experiencing new places here and abroad. He had many wonderful stories of friends he would meet along the way and places he was lucky enough to experience. He loved learning, expanding his mind and he always was striving to be a better person in all aspects of his life.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz Road, San Antonio, TX 78209. Directly afterwards, there will be a celebration of Ron's life at La Fonda on Main restaurant, 2415 North Main Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78212.

Ron loved science and lamented the level of preparation many students receive in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) from the educational community. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Ron’s name to the National Math and Science Initiative, NMS.org, which strives to prepare these students for the rewarding careers which will be available in these fields.
