Rodolfo G. Estrada of San Antonio, TX peacefully passed away in his sleep on May 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice in 1989. “Rudy” served in the Army during WWII and then worked at Kelly Air Force Base, for 39 years. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, softball and other outdoor activities. His family was top on his list. Rudy lived a long fruitful life and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughters Virginia and husband Inez Macias Jr., Theresa and husband Larry Zamora, Irene Estrada, and his sons Rudy and wife Yolanda Estrada, Michael and wife Gina Estrada, and John Paul and wife Yvonne Estrada. He has 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been made for a visitation on Tuesday May 31st, from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM, with a rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at St. James Catholic Church at 907 W. Theo Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78225 at 11: 00 AM, and the burial will be at 1:30 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
