Robert Allen Gibson

Joe retired from the United States Air Force in December of 1966, after serving for 20 years in finance and receiving several commendations. After retiring from the Air Force he worked in the private sector from 1967 until finally retiring from Universal Form Tops in 2004 at the young age of 75. He spent 20 years volunteering for the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and was appointed Lifetime Director Emeritus in 2001. In addition to working and volunteering, he was an avid saltwater fisherman and enjoyed caring for his pets.

Joe is survived by his son, Robert Gibson Jr., of New Mexico, his son Steve Gibson, of College Station, TX, his son and daughter-in-law Gary and Teddi Gibson, of The Colony, TX, his son and daughter-in-law Ray and Diane Gibson, of Minnesota, his daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Kenneth Haertling, of Henderson, NV, and his son and daughter-in-law Peter and Kim Flood, of Houston, TX. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Louise Douglas, of Biloxi, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Flood.

A celebration of life service will be held on November 10, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Mission Park North Dominion Funeral Chapel in San Antonio, TX. Immediately following the service there will be a gathering at Raymond Russell Park Pavilion 2.
