LTC Robert G. Fenske, USAF (ret.), passed away October 30, 2011 at the age of 88. He was born September 30, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to Carl and Thekla Fenske. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a reconnaissance pilot during WWII. He later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas in Austin.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Evelyn in 1987; brother, Carl Fenske, Jr., and a sister, Lois Wolff. He is survived by his sons, Robert G. Fenske, Jr. and Glenn Fenske; sister, Jackie Oertel and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
