Robert had worked many jobs but his career was produce manager for 17 years at Shop-Rite in New Jersey. He was very passionate about providing quality food to his family, friends, and neighbors.
He was most famous for his Italian cooking and he never knew how to make a small meal! He loved celebrating birthdays and the holidays with his large family. He never forgot a birthday!
We could always count on him to play his favorite oldies hits.
It seemed that he had never met a stranger anywhere he went. He had made many dear friends over the years at his favorite shops in town. Always with a story to tell!
Robert had overcome many challenges in his life, and was thought to have had 9 lives. He adored his cats as much as they adored him. Those who had known him knew he had a warm generous heart and an enormous inner strength.
Robert had been diagnosed with cancer in 2015, and had gone through many treatments. He wasn’t the best patient when it came to hospital stays, and he’d be the first to tell ya about it! Despite everything, he was grateful for everyone’s support and he fought with hope till the end.
He spent his last day just the way he wanted with his sister Mary at the casino. He enjoyed playing his favorite slot machines and even won a jackpot!
With all that he’d been through, in the end, he truly came out a winner. He was the kind of someone you couldn’t forget. He will surely be missed by family and friends. Our memories of him will help keep the love and laughter going.
Plans to celebrate Robert’s life will be announced at a later time.
