My Uncle Ricky was one of the best men I've ever  known. He and my Father Michael come from a lost breed.  Honest, dependable, always there to help, a friend that I friend would love to have. He was my Uncle Ricky first, then Uncle Ricky to my 2 beautiful daughters, Sydney and Katelyn. In truth he was a 2nd dad to both of them.  He adored them beyond measure, they became his entire focal point of living over the past 19 + years.  Some have asked me why Uncle Ricky never had children of us his own. I should always be quick to remind them that he did, my girls are his girls indeed.  He was a wonderful Father figure.  
I love you Uncle Ricky, thank you for all you have done for our family and particularly for our girls.  I have no doubt I'll see you on the other side.  I miss you,

My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family on the passing of Uncle Ricky.  It was a pleasure meeting him through my neighbor Christina Speller.  He was always sweet and kind to my daughter and I each time we'd see him come to visit Christina and her family.    He absolutely adored Sydney, Katelyn and Kayden!   I know for a fact that Christina was a HUGE part of your life...actually...your "life line"!  Never have I seen someone do and give so much time, compassion, support, and love to you Uncle Ricky throughout the years as Christina did.  She loved and cared for you dearly and I'll make sure to keep her company the best that I can on your behalf.  I send my prayers and condolences to the entire family during this difficult time. Nothing but an HONOR to have known this intelligent man. Words cannot explain the deep impact he has made in my life for the last 20 years. Thanks for giving me the privilege to create so many memories with you in this journey called life; that I can carry through the rest of mine. I couldn’t ask for a more loyal Friend he was to me. He was so encouraging. He was the most devoted and reliable Uncle. If needed he would take my girls to their Doctor/Dentist appointments when I couldn’t. He was the fun loving type that loves all children, especially Sydney, Katelyn and Kayden. Thanks for all that you have done for them;and Anthony and I.
You always took credit for getting us together and I am Blessed each day because of you! 
Their were times he would get feisty but never lasted long with me. He was always quick to apologize. He was such and inspiration! I will miss our morning coffee and watching our religious services together. Until we meet again Uncle Ricky you will forever be in my heart. 

Uncle Ricky was a sweet sweet man. Have a heart of Gold. Loving and caring. He will be miss. I love you Uncle Ricky. Thank you for letting me and MarcAnthony be part of your life. We love you very much. We will see you in Heaven someday.  Miraluna Spillman 8/27/20
