Richard Anthony Rodriguez, age 63, passed away surrounded by his wife of 33 years Nora (Garza) Rodriguez and his sons Richard Lucas, and Marcus Anthony, along with family members on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Richard lived out his life as a devoted husband, father, and brother.
He retired from City Public Service (CPS) after 35 years.
He served many years as President of the Public Service Golf Association (PSGA), & Vice President of the Pan American Golf Association (PAN-AM). He was a member of St. Helena’s Catholic Church, and an active member of the Wilfred L. Kireger Acts Golf Tournament. He also assisted with St. Helena’s Teen ACTS Retreat.
His parents Romeo and Stella Rodriguez precede him in death. He is survived by his brothers Manuel (Yolanda), George (Abagail) and sister Diane Ferrufino, sister in-law Cyndy (Thomas) Roberts, brother in-laws Ray (Laura) Garza, and Roger (Janie) Garza, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Sunday, November 21st, at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218, at 6pm, rosary at 7pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 22nd, 10am at St. Helena’s Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont, San Antonio, TX 78247. A private interment will take place for the immediate family at a later date.

We are at peace knowing he is now celebrating in the presence of God, Mother Mary, and a multitude of family members.
