Richard Daniel Gonzales

Richard D. Gonzales entered eternal rest on April 4, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Wilson County, Texas on July 21, 1936 to Jacobo Montoya and Salome Montoya (Ramos). He was raised by Jose and Juanita Gonzales in San Antonio.

After graduating from Burbank High School in 1955, Richard joined the Marine Corps and served four years. Richard was a 20 year veteran of the Air Force and after retiring, he became a bus driver for Via Metropolitan for 10 years. Richard was an active member of the Knights of Columbus from St. Vincent De Paul Council 5262 serving as Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and a District Deputy. Later Transferring to St. Bonaventure Council 10712.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annabelle Solis and their three children - Debbie Perez (Gonzales), Richard D. Gonzales Jr. and Peter A. Gonzales. Along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. The Funeral will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 12:00 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 236 E Petaluma St., with a Committal Service at 1:45 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
