Ricardo Martinez Hernandez Jr.

Ricardo M. Hernandez Jr., better known as Rick, entered into the loving arms of our Lord on February 23, 2024 at the age of 62. Rick was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 25, 1961 to Enedelia Martinez and Ricardo H. Hernandez.

At a young age, Rick enjoy to draw. As he got older he became a still-life artist, often drawing what he saw in life. At the age of 19, Rick entered the United States Navy. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharged in 1982. During his service he received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal. After his service, Rick lived life with a certain gusto, finding joy in the company of others and the experiences they shared.

Rick will be reunited in heaven with his father, Ricardo Hernandez; and sister, Roxana Delgado.

His memory will forever live in his mother, Enedelia M. Hernandez, siblings, Hilda H. Valdez, Jose R. Hernandez, and Erika H. Guillory. Nieces and nephews, Joseph R. Delgado, Brandi R. Delgado, Benito A. Valdez, Opal M. Valdez (Shawn), Erik M. Guillory, Marley M. Guillory, and Maya G. Guillory.

A committal service for Ricardo will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 1:15 PM to 1:35 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
