Left behind to cherish Reynaldo's memory is his former wife, Herlinda Hernandez; 3 children, Henry (Caroline) Hernandez, Dominica (Derrick) Trevino, and Veronica (Randall) Armstrong. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Kaleb, Caio, Surya, David, Jace, Penelope and Jimi; and siblings; Manuel (Elvia) Hernandez, Yolanda (Raul) Reyes, Rosario (Israel) Gonzales and Victoria (Juan) Jilpas.
Reynaldo meets in Heaven his parents, Emilio Q. Hernandez and Dominga C. Hernandez.
Reynaldo served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous celebrating 20+ years of sobriety following his recovery. Reynaldo was active in the Prison Ministry, addressing the spiritual needs of incarcerated men in Texas. The hobbies he enjoyed most were dancing, sharing good conversation with others and loving on his grandchildren.
Reynaldo was a loving father, grandfather, brother, mentor and friend. He was a humble man who loved the Lord. His humor and wisdom he shared will carry on with those who were blessed to know him.
A visitation for Reynaldo will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232, followed by a celebration of life from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
