Reynaldo Schilling Garza passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Sarah and Jose Garza on October 10, 1924. Mr. Garza was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Juanita Rivera Garza, his son Hector Rivera Garza Sr., his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Mr. Garza is survived by his children, Virginia Garza-Craig and husband Kenneth and Rey Garza Jr. and wife Terri. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, William C. Garza, Michelle Ramirez and husband Pablo, Rebecca Garza, Hector (Troy) Garza Jr., Nicole Lopez and husband Lino, Jason A. Garza and Melissa Garza and eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Brianna, Isabelle, Kyrick, Maribelle, Rene, Pablo Jr. and Armando. Mr. Garza worked in the family produce business (Garza Brother) before joining the Navy to serving his country in the Pacific Campaign during World War II. After the war he returned to work as a commercial line driver delivering produce to many cities throughout the United States. He retired from Central Freight Line in 1987. After his retirement, Reynaldo and Juanita traveled throughout Europe and Mexico and cruised to the Bahamas. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Monday, August 16, 2010 for a 10:00 A.M. mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2.
