Reynaldo "Ray" K. Garcia

Reynaldo "Ray" K. Garcia, age 69, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 1, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Ray was born on July 18, 1953, to Juan and Rosa Garcia in Del Rio, Texas.

Ray graduated from South San High School in 1973. He later joined the United States Army, where he served for three years. He was introduced to Yolanda Carrillo in the summer of 1981. Ray and Yolanda married on May 7, 1983. They were happily married for 39 years and attributed their success to their faith in the Lord. They raised their family in San Antonio, Texas, where Ray ran a successful self-owned electrical company called Ray's Electric.

Ray is preceded in death by his father and mother, Juan and Rosa Garcia; brother, Hector Garcia; and sister, Bertha Santoya. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; daughters, Vanessa (Gabriel) and Valerie; son, Jonathan (Jazmin); grandchildren Jade, Olivia, and James.

Ray was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Above all, Ray was a born again Christian who believed in spreading the word of God. He spent several years in prison ministry and giving back to the community at Southtown Community Church. He is now rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus. He is suffering no more and has been made whole once again.

A visitation for Ray will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218, followed by a prayer service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
