Raymond A. Guzman born on January 6, 1946 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2011 at the age of 65. Mr. Guzman was a member of Lanier High School Class of 1966 and the Lanier Alumni. He worked for HEB for 40 years, the Parent Child Incorporated for 20 years and San Antonio independent School District for 3 years. He was a devout member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a marathon runner in numerous races including the Beach To Bay in Corpus Christi, TX and attended college under a track scholarship. He enjoyed classic cars and owned a 1957 Chevy Bel Air that he completely restored himself. He was an avid photographer, movie collector and loved the oldies. He enjoyed wood carpentry and started making furniture for his home when he was just 15 years old. He was known for his kindess and great sense of humor and for doing anything for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Amador Guzman, a sister, Amelia Zavala, and a brother, Marcelo Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Guzman; daughters; Sandra Guillen and husband, Mario; Deanna Fencl and husband, Danny; Adriana Luna and husband, Rene; son, Raymond Aaron Guzman; grandchildren, Hilary, Celeste, Noah, Diego, Faith, Daisy, and Anthony; sisters, Mary Sanchez and Gloria Moreno; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Rosary to be recited that same evening. A Funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 9:30a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2. Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
