Rafael G. Leal

Rafael G. Leal passed away peacefully Friday, July 8, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born in Eagle Pass, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Margarita (Margie) Leal, sons Rafael G. Jr. (Chris), Philip Sr. (Mariann), Roland, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Leal served in the US Army in the 3rd infantry. Mr. Leal is preceded in death by his parents Marcelino Sr. and Guadalupe, brothers Marcelino jr., Jose, Lupe, sisters Dolores Arias, Mary Alice Rosas, Rose Mary Ramsey and Olivia Pacheco.

Services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Monday, July 18, 2022. A viewing will start at 9 AM with Rosary at 10:30 AM and Mass at 11 AM. His final resting place will be Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in a private family ceremony at a later date.

Because of their ever-present love and care, the family is forever grateful to Isaac, Alexander and Aidan for their presence in Big Pappa’s life especially during his last days.
