She is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Carmen Silva.
She is survived by her husband, Luis R. Rodriguez; her one and only daughter, Melissa Alonso; grandchildren, Malina Alonso and Michael Alonso; four brothers and six sisters; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Rachel was so many things to so many people, and while her loss will be felt immensely, we focus on what she gave us of herself during her precious life. Rachel was the best mother, loving wife, doting grandma, caring sister, beloved TIA, adored daughter and truest friend there could ever be. Her daughter and grandchildren shined as the brightest lights in her life. She most enjoyed watching her talented granddaughter play softball and sharing priceless moments all over town with her honey, Louie. All who knew her will feel her absence now that she is gone. You could count on Rachel for a much-needed laugh, warm hug, and shoulder to cry on. We will most miss her crazy personality that made her who she was. She will forever be missed.
