Pete C. Carrion

Pete C. Carrion, age 72, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Pete was born in San Antonio, Texas to Juanita and Pio N. Carrion. He spent a good portion of his life working at Kozy Korner Saloon, making memories and spending time with friends.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Anna Perales; and his brother, Jesse Carrion. He is survived by his long life companion, lover, and friend of 42 years, Gloria Estrada; his stepchildren, Gilbert Sandoval (Maria) and Jennifer Muniz (Thomas); his grandchildren, Neva Sandoval, Mark Rodriguez and wife Erika, Amanda Rodriguez and husband Albert Treviño, Mia Muniz, Savannah Muniz, and Thomas E. Muniz; his children, Pete Carrion Jr. (Nancy) and Gina Carrion; his 8 siblings, Rosalie Trevino, Gilbert Carrion (Gloria), Jose Carrion, Bernie Carrion, Irma Huerta (Johnny), Julie Gutierrez (Richard), Johnny Carrion, and Marcus Guajardo; as well as numerous grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N Main Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78205. The funeral mass will be the following day, Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 210 St Ann St., San Antonio, Texas 78201 with burial to follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237.
