A native of San Antonio, she was married to Fernando F. Reyes for 71 years. She was mother to 3 children, Nana to 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
At 82 years old she was the Piñatas in the Barrio Senior Queen reigning during Fiesta 2009. During her reign, she gained the title, “The Kissing Queen,” as she blew kisses to all of her adoring subjects.
She never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. She loved traveling to Las Vegas earning the nickname “Lady Luck” and spending time with her family and dog, Lola. She spent her last days in the comfort of her home with her devoted caretaker, Lucy.
She is survived by her son, Fernando, wife Norma, grandchildren, Fernando “Fred” and wife Carol, Jason and wife Cindy, and Allison Reyes, great grandchildren Peyton, Fernando “Preston,” Jason Declan and Lavinia.
A Viewing will be held Tuesday, October 2nd at 1:30 PM at San Fernando Cathedral, continuing with the Rosary at 2:00 PM. Mass will follow at 3:00 PM.
