Nora "Momo" Gutierrez

Nora G. Gutierrez “Momo” was peacefully called home to be with The Lord on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 two days after her 93rd birthday. She was cared for at home by her children while battling a brief illness in her last weeks. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Pedro Gutierrez.

Nora grew up in a musical household in Bergs Mill, TX. She loved traveling, telling stories, music, and of course having “una beer”. She was survived by her children Adela Good, Esther Perez, Bertha Brieno, Christina Vasquez, Consuelo Quintanilla, Linda Hardy, Fabian Gutierrez, Veronica Murtaugh, 23 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and her beloved collection of turtle figurines. She loved making people laugh and quickly became known as “Momo” by everyone. Momo insisted on living independently until the age of 92. She lived a full and blessed life and will be dearly missed.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, February 14th, at 5 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home (Palo Alto). Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 15th at 11 a.m. at San Juan Capistrano followed by a Cemetery Service at Via Del Carmen.
