Mary Ruth Villanueva, 91, went to be with her Lord on February 21, 2018. She was born in San Antonio, TX to Juan and Rosa Treviño on January 31, 1927. Mary Ruth was a member of the Ladies of the Auxilery of the Purple Heart club, worked at Ike Haines Cleaners for 17 years and later at Lackland Air Force Base, Brooke Army Base where she retired. She was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, dedicating her life to the Virgin Guadalupe. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Mateo R. Villanueva Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Mary Duras ,nee Villanueva, (Frank); son, Jimmy T. Villanueva (Bernice); 5 grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; sisters Doraelia Trevino Paz and Patricia Trevino Paz; brothers, Juan Treviño and Mario Alberto Treviño (Annabella). Visitation will be held at Roy Akers on March15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be at 9:00 a.m. at St. John Berchmann’s on March 16, 2018, with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
