Mary Lou Salazar Gonzales

Mary Lou Gonzales was born on October 17, 1935 in San Antonio, TX to Manuel & Adalina (Guerrero) Salazar, and passed from this life on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in San Antonio at the age of 74. She was very involved with her church work as a baptismal minister for 7 years at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 7 years at Holy Family Catholic Church and 2 years working with marriage preparation. Mary Lou was also a prayer warrior. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gilbert Salazar. Surviving are her husband, Frank Gonzales, Sr.; son, Frank Gonzales, Jr. and his wife, Monica, their daughters, Christina McGowin and her husband, Eric, and their daughter, Cristiana; and Katherine Gonzales; son, Gilbert Gonzales and his wife, Liza, their son, Paul Michael and his daughter, Rebekah; sister, Marcie Talamantez and her husband, John; sisters-in-law, Alice Fernandez and her husband, Oscar, Alice Gonzales, Minnie Gonzales, Estella Gonzales, Erma Espinoza and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
