Mary D. Diaz

Mary D. Diaz, age 79, passed away February 16, 2013. She was born on March 25, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas to Tomas and Virginia Rivas. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Martin Diaz; children, Deborah Diaz, Eugene Diaz, and Valerie Diaz (Alexander Szumanski); grandchildren, Leanne (Joe ) Blanco, Leon Ellis and Julie Perkins; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Katryna and Tristan Blanco; sisters, Stella Garcia, Sister Helen Louise Rivas and Felicitas Gamboa; brother, Harry (Suse) Rivas. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. for a 9:30 A.M. mass on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Luke Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
