Sorry for your loss, Sharon. Marty was my favorite boss during my 42 years in the broadcasting industry. He taught me about how important relationships are and to not take anything too seriously. He hired me for my first National Sales Manager position at KRBK in 1992.  On arriving on my first day on the job, I was rushed into his office to join a conference call with a buyer from N.Y.  The first thing I heard from Marty was " Esther, remember when I was in Orlando and we didn't run 500 of your spots? It's not that bad!" He had a great sense of humor and kept things in the right perspective. He always said that we could be doing a lot worse things to get paid for what we do. My condolences to you are your family.

A giant of a man in the Broadcast industry and life.  I considered Marty, a friend, colleague, mentor and mensch.  He loved us all and we loved him right back.  Sharon and Boys may his memory forever be a blessing.

Marty, It was a great pleasure to have known you - you were a very kind and wonderful person.  I especially enjoyed your company when we played pool together - we were teammates for five years.  Our conversations and the stories you told were always very entertaining.  I will miss you.  My sincere deepest condolences to his family and friends

Marty would tell me about his memory of sports and his time working for the Sacramento Kings. My favorite story was when Clyde Frazier, or known as Walt Frazier, let him see the Knicks championship ring and the excitement he brought when he would talk to me about that story. One of the kindest men that brought joy when I would be so upset after losing a game in pool. He would always tell me how proud of the young man I was becoming and the way I carried myself. Very grateful to have met Marty and say he was a friend to me and my dad. Condolences to his family and friends.

So sorry Sharon.  We will miss seeing Marty around the neighborhood.  He was such a gentle man.  Prayers for you and your family.
