Martha Reding was a blessing to everyone, from the day she was born on November 15,1918 until the day she left this world on November 12, 2018, just three days shy of her 100th birthday. Martha touched the lives of everyone she met with her charm, grace, and endearing nature. She loved being with her family and friends, traveling and playing card games (which she usually won). She was generous,
charismatic and always ’had room for one more’. She was known for her good heart andfriendly smile.
Martha lived the majority of her life in San Antonio. While attending old Main Avenue High School she met my dad, Lawis W. Reding. They were happily married for over 50 years when he passed away
in 1989. She was so much, to so many people - wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother,
great-grandmother, great -great -grandmother, aunt, and friend. Martha lived a long and happy life, touching everyone around her. She will always be remembered for the strength, love, encouragement,
wisdom, dedication and loyalty she had for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. W. Reding and son, L.W. (Bubba) Reding, Jr.; parents, W.A. Meissner and Olga Smith and brothers, A.E. and O.J. Meissner.
A true family Matriarch, she leaves behind her daughter, Juanita (Bitsy) and husband Earl Condra, daughter-in-law Jane Reding, grandchildren, Luci Condra and husband Charles Saenz, Wayne Condra and wife Jacqueline, Rex Reding and wife Irma, Jennifer Yeager and Kathy Reding; great-grandchildren,
Christopher Saenz, Wesley Condra, Lauren Condra, Joshua Reding, Kimberly Reding, Kari Reding, Kayle
Jane Park, Maddalyn Hagelgans and great-grandson, Gideon Wayne Condra. She is also survived by sister, Tommy Leach, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19th, at Trinity Baptist Church, 319
E. Mulberry, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Family will receive visitors preceding the service and lunch will be served in the church dining room upon the conclusion of services. All are invited to attend.
A private burial will be held at a later date at San Fernando III Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Martha and family ask that you donate to your favorite charity. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
