Mario Molina passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born November 18, 1950 in Laredo, Texas to Eduviges and Alicia Molina. Mario grew up in San Antonio, TX across the street from his high school sweetheart that he would come to marry, Maria Molina. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary March 20th, 2021. He was a hard-working husband and father that built his own business selling cars. He offered help to many others along the way. His job was also his hobby, working late on engines and body work. His other hobbies included fishing, hunting, grilling, woodworking, and spending time with his loved ones.
Mario was preceded in death by his parents Eduviges and Alicia Molina, and brother Gregorio Sr Molina.
He is survived by wife Maria Molina, son Mario Molina, and daughters Melissa (Joseph) Fech and Maricela (Roger) Solis, and 6 grandchildren Giana and Elena Molina, Carina and Adela Fech, and Roger Jr and Romeo Solis. His grandchildren affectionately call him Popo and enjoyed getting all the ice cream and popsicles they wanted when visiting him. He is also survived by his brothers Eduviges Jr (Lupe) Molina, Juventino (Maggie) Molina, Sister Bertha (Lupe) Carrion, Sister-in-law Norma Molina, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mario also formed a close relationship to Maria’s family, Teresa (Gilbert) Salas, Carmen (Jimmy) Mendoza, Sylvia (Ruben) Berrones, Tina (Karim) Torres, Frank (Monica) Mosqueda, Hope (Don) Franks, Elizabeth Ramirez, and late Cipriano Jr Mosqueda, and many nephews and nieces.
He was always the life of the party and always wanted everyone to be fed and have a cold drink. He would be sure to tell you a joke to keep you smiling. No one who met Mario will forget his giving nature and welcoming lighthearted humor.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, September 18th at 12 - 3pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony starting at 3pm at the Sunset Northwest Funeral Home located at 6321 Bandera Road in San Antonio, Texas.
