Marilyn Jean Wilson

A private viewing was held on October 27, 2021 at Kehl’s Legacy Funeral Home in Anchorage, Alaska at 1:00 pm for family residing in Alaska.

A second viewing shall be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home located at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218 at 12:00 PM and a graveside service is to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209 at 2:00 PM, where she will be laid to rest with her loving husband Alan Dale Wilson.

Mrs. Wilson was born September 5, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, to Julia Elizabeth Biesel and Paul King Rogers. She graduated from Plano Texas Senior High School, she went onto Finishing and Modeling School and studied piano.

She married Alan Dale Wilson on January 23, 1971, in Plano, Texas by Travis S. Berry, Pastor of First Baptist Church Plano, Texas.

She and her family moved to Alaska in 1982 where they made Alaska their home. The couple moved to Mesa, Arizona around 1999. Then, in 2018, Mrs. Wilson returned back to Alaska to spend her remaining years near her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children: Chandra Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska, Brandon Wilson of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Crystal Wilson of Anchorage, Alaska, four grandchildren, Destiny Wilson Mitchell, Duane Yonkoske, Samantha Wilson, and Summer Sutton and one great grandchild, Arthur Lee Hans Hanson. She is also survived by her brothers Richard Michael Rogers and Pat Rogers.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Dale Wilson.
