Maria T. Gonzales

Maria was a great mom and friend, truly a person that cared about everyone. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She loved the family tradition of holiday tamales, baking cookies. Of course on Thanksgiving at the end of the day the family would make ham and cheese sandwiches. When family would say “what is so special about this ham and cheese sandwich" it’s because grandma made it on toast bread. Maria also loved to garden and her favorite flowers were roses. She also loved her dog Papas.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Ramona, Isabel, Juan, Trine, Jesse, Ramon, Lala and Jesusa.

She is survived by her loving children: Lazaro Gonzales, Herby Gonzales and his wife Diana, Arnulfo Gonzales and his wife Elizabeth, and Diana Gonzales; as well as 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers on July 8, 2021 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Recitation of The Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. On July 9, 2021 the Funeral Procession will depart at 9:00 a.m. for a 9:30a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
