Maria loved her family, her grandchildren, and friends dearly, always being there with an open heart. She enjoyed working as a Pre-K, Kindergarten and Librarian aide in the Edgewood Ind. School Dist. Working with children was where she was the most comfortable. There was always one or two little ones, which needed more assurance and confidence. She would make it her extra project for the year, filling with pride as they blossomed. As a teacher’s aide, she would be assigned to the new teachers, the principal knowing they were in good hands. School is probably where she learned her love of crafting. Items people discarded would become a pin, a wreath or an angel. Later, as a member of Sacred Heart Senior member, she put her talents to work. Her table would always have the most elaborate place settings, complete with costumes, for those special awards. She loved her yard and plants, she had a green thumb, which is not an easy thing. She was very talented, caring and a very strong woman.
